The nose is quite enticing with nutty, biscuity, leather, oak, dried leaves, peaches and orange peel notes. Quite a array of aromas. The letdown is on the palate: sweet, syrupy, caramel and fruity notes are present but for a whisky with a 14 year old ageing pedigree this lacks further expression.
Chocolate, citrus and floral, sweet apples, and mild woody notes on the nose. More chocolate, maybe grapefruit? Pears, vanilla, wood, plastic, and a strong spicy rye flavor. The finish is fruity, spicy, and long.
Vanilla and fried bananas, in cinnamon and brown sugar on the nose. The palate is sweet banana cream pie 🥧. The finish is toasted candied almonds and peanuts. A sweet and rich whiskey. Yum!
Smells smooth, subtle and sweet. Amazing hit of honey on the palate followed by a fruit taste
