Kamiki Sakura Wood is a fascinating and nuanced Japanese whisky that offers a truly unique tasting experience. Initially, the palate is greeted with delicate, sweet notes of sakura blossom, reminiscent of spring. As the whisky opens up, a transformation occurs, revealing slightly tart, varnish-like nuances that add an intriguing layer of complexity. Finally, the finish settles into a beautifully balanced profile of oak, spice, and ripe apple, leaving a lingering warmth. This whisky's dynamic flavor evolution is a testament to its careful maturation in sakura wood casks. Overall, Kamiki Sakura Wood is an exceptional whisky that captivates with its ever-changing character. Rating: 98/100

It is d definitely interesting and intense, but i dont get near all the flavors other seem to. I get black pepper on the nose, with the cedar, and a very, very slight hint of cherry. The taste is intense cedar, with what seems like smoke, but I dont think it's peated. A little baking spice. It soon changes to cough syrup, which really reduces the score for me. If it can be bought for roughly $70, its okay. For $96, pass.
I’m quite enamored with this whiskey. Lots of cinnamon spice and as one might assume a note that reminds me of cherries! Orchard fruit - like apple, pear, that sort of thing. No real burn. Very nice.
Cinnamony and almost pine then woodiness in the aroma, then some initial wood on the palate-followed by spice, then some tart fruit notes and a light floral finish.
Aroma- Light Fruit (canteloupe) Flavor- Fruit, citrus (lemon) Opinion- My favorite Japanese whiskey, so far. Enjoyable. The Japanese cedar is unique.
