Kaniché Perfección

Absolutely spectacular rum! I sipped this like a single malt scotch. Needs nothing, no ice or even water, too good to mix. Smells great, sweet with a hint of maple and charred oak barrel, and juicy ripe berries. Delicate palate that’s lightly sweet and slightly spicy, with some fruitiness from the cognac influence. Velvety texture in the mouth, and it has a nice medium finish of gentle wood and molasses. It was a fair price and came in a cool red wooden box. Would make a great gift for the rum lover in your life.

A light rum from Panama distilled using traditional methods perfected in the Caribbean & aged in ex-Bourbon casks in the tropical Panamanian climate, then finished in Cognac casks in France. It has an aromatic birth with notes of sugar cane, wood, herbs & spices; while a rich life adds notes of vanilla & butterscotch; that led to a delicate & nutty death. October 2017 / July 2025

On the sweet side like a Venezuelan rum. There's plenty of smoke with a rich wishing mixed with some vanilla and overt caramel. It's quite good, though not amazing. The finish is good with a couple of flavors that are at odds. The caramel with artificial sweetness is a bit of a downer, but this is still sippable. The other flavors are quite good. There's a nice bit of cherry.

Wow. All around great rum. Nose is nice, with a bit of funk, but the palate is more classic molasses with a good amount of spice on the finish. incredibly good all around contender for sipping. Very happy with this one.

Dark and funky. Bittersweet dark chocolate, molasses, toasted oak, caramel, vanilla and baking spices. Slightly dry. Like a step up from Havana Club 7 Year. Not available in Ontario.

Somewhat sweet with flavors of sugarcane and hints of brandy, enjoyable neat, but not much to lose if mixed.
