Released in September 2015, this release marks the second bourbon batch from Kentucky Owl. It is a sourced Kentucky straight bourbon which consists of six barrels. The bourbon in these barrels were rebarreled into new, charred American oak, half at char #3 and the other half at char #5. This yielded 1360 bottles at 58.6% ABV. Available in Kentucky.

Great nose, with classic caramel but also floral honey and a slight vegetal note. Strong leather on the palate, sharp and chalky. Cacao nibs as well. Not as sweet as the nose suggests. Dry finish that lingers. Nice warmth. 10/18/18
Immediately, you taste fire, followed by a full flavored, spicy, rich taste. Wow! I’m going in for the second taste and then...third...
Very good. Subtle spicy, good sweetness. One of my faves.
