I tried King Robert's 15-year Scotch blend, but it was a real disappointment. It was made up of about 95% 15-year-old grain whiskey and only about 5% 15-year-old scotch malt whiskey. The nose was quite neutral with just a hint of red raspberries, apples, oak, and ethanol. The entry was smooth, but the palate was quite one-dimensional with just a note of toffee and sugar. The finish was brief, with notes of cinnamon and just a hint of cocoa.
