A complex, cider, from Tennessee made by blending sour mash whiskey; that has a mash bill of mostly corn, some rye & barley, that is slow filtered through charcoal maple chips before being aged for 4 years; with apple cider. It has an aromatic birth with notes of apple & spices; while a spicy life adds notes of allspice, cinnamon & nutmeg; that led to a rich death of medium length adding notes of maple & oak. Didn't read the label right when I bought it and thought is was a whiskey-y cider. It is actually a cider-y whiskey. Oops. No wonder I couldn't find it on Untapped. It's not actually good at being either, though. On the whiskey side it's a boring and safe blend with nothing going on, and on the cider side it tastes like fructose, malic acid, and cinnamon. At least it isn't bad?
You don't really taste the whiskey, but that doesn't matter. This is basically a ready made mulled cider, with all of the apple and baking spice flavours. Great liqueur for the holidays.
Smell almost musty but the taste is apple and cinnamon. Too sweet .No whiskey flavor but some warmth. Not as good as a mulled wine
Very tasty, great flavor. Not exactly what I'd call a bourbon or whiskey, but nonetheless a great holiday drink.
N. Cinnamon, Apple, Vanilla, Warm Spices P. Sweet smooth taste
