An elegant, cordial 'by Christian Krogstad for Westward Whiskey Distillery in Portland, Oregon a grain-based spirit made with caraway at it's core along with star anise & other botanicals.' It has an aromatic birth with notes of herbs & spices, especially star anise; while a rich & toasty life adds notes of caraway, coffee, dill, maple syrup & mint; that leads to a long & spicy death. Strong on the anise flavor. Less pronounced dill and caraway than are in many aquavits. One of my favorites.

Interesting combination of anise and caraway. My favorite aquavit so far. It has a permanent home in my bar
