An elegant, cordial 'by Christian Krogstad for Westward Whiskey Distillery in Portland, Oregon a grain-based spirit made with caraway at it's core along with star anise & other botanicals.' It has an aromatic birth with notes of herbs & spices, especially star anise; while a rich & toasty life adds notes of caraway, coffee, dill, maple syrup & mint; that leads to a long & spicy death. December 2019

Strong on the anise flavor. Less pronounced dill and caraway than are in many aquavits. One of my favorites.
