(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, 1st October 2021). Nose: Fruit, sour & sweet, furniture polish, green/hay Palate: Prunes, gristy, oaky, Cognac, ginger, lemon drops Finish: Medium long finish. Ginger, black pepper, grape juice, brandy apples. Souring on the aftertaste. Lovely brandies airy whisky. You could easily think of this being a Calvados (although more peppery throughout). Finished for 6-months in a French brandy cask Single cask Distilled: June 2008 Bottled: 2021 1 of 380x 50cl bottles Came joint last out of the six drams, with 0% (0 votes) of the final vote for favourite of the night. 90% (9 votes) of those present said they enjoyed the whiskey.
