About this bottle
Founded in 1853 by its namesake, Louis Royer, who was also a beekeeper. As a result, a bee has been the brand's symbol from the beginning. Louis Royer is a cognac house which uses all six regions in the Cognac region, but this XO is a Fine Champagne. This means grapes harvested for this bottling came from the top cru, Grande Champagne (at least 50% of blend) and Petite Champagne, the second top cru.
