About this bottle

Founded in 1853 by its namesake, Louis Royer, who was also a beekeeper. As a result, a bee has been the brand's symbol from the beginning. Louis Royer is a cognac house which uses all six regions in the Cognac region, but this XO is a Fine Champagne. This means grapes harvested for this bottling came from the top cru, Grande Champagne (at least 50% of blend) and Petite Champagne, the second top cru.

An intense, Cognac with an aromatic birth with notes of fruits, wood, flowers, herbs & spices; while a rich life adds notes of spiced apple, pear, peach, raisin, candied ginger, honey, lavender, rosewater & violets; that led to a long & balanced death with notes of citrus zest. oak, vanilla, leather, cedar, dark chocolate, a touch of butter & fresh forest air.
