About this bottle
In 1880 Spyros Metaxa moved to Piraeus, Greece with his two brothers where they set out to create smooth and aromatic spirits using the traditional method, and Metaxa was born. For his annual small batch release, master Constantinos Raptis crafted Metaxa Private Reserve using aged ingredients from the house cellars of Metaxa. This full-bodied brandy is aged up to 30 years in Limousin oak barrels. For 2017, the expression will be presented in a new-look decanter encased in a gift box, with the label bearing Raptis’s signature.
