Michter's 20 Year Single Barrel Bourbon

If this isn’t a perfect bourbon, there isn’t one out there. Beautiful deep amber color matches the thick and rich mouthfeel. All your favorite baking scents on the nose - honey, vanilla, brown sugar. On the palate a bit of cherry and blackberry join the mix and add some dimension but this is not a fruity bourbon. Finish lasts for days and introduces leather and a touch of spice to go along with the sweetness. Heat is very much in check despite weighing in at 114 proof, as is the oak for a bourbon that has rested in the barrel for 20 years. Everything is balanced to perfection. It kills me knowing how inaccessible this bourbon is and how little of it I will get to enjoy in this lifetime.

Never purchase a bourbon that you regret having poured in the morning. Too late. Amazing bourbon, but hate the feeling I won't see this one again after I finish the bottle. Nonetheless, an amazing bourbon worth every penny and grateful I had a chance to purchase.

Great nosing with strong sweet and chocolate. Creamy caramel at first taste and very smooth on the tongue. Easy swallow and late hit after the smoothness finishes

Spicy and least favorite of the Michter Flight I tried behind the Unblended and the Toasted. Just personal preference but quality runs through the Michter line

Massive concentration of flavour. Thick, viscous. Smoother than the 10 yr. Reminds me of W L Weller BTAC. loooooong. Could only drink a small measure.
