Deliciously rich and complex for a white spirit. Rye spirit base gives the gin a heavier texture which makes it a diverse and lasting ingredient for mixers and cocktails. Dominant Finnish foraged botanicals are wonderfully highlighted in this well crafted, balanced Rye gin.
About this bottle
An abandoned cheese factory in Isokyrö, Finland has been home to the rye-obsessed Kyrö Distillery Company since 2014. While they waited for their rye whiskey to mature, they keep the stills busy producing new make spirit and rye-based gin like this one. Kyrö Gin (formerly known as Napue Gin) is made from rye grain and distilled with freshly-picked and locally sourced seabuckthorn, wild cranberries, birch leaves, and meadowsweet. The remaining 12 botanicals are undisclosed.

For the nose there are some great botanicals, coriander, birch and some buckthorn, Clean herbal taste again the buckthorn has a great presence, also some pepper and ends with the sharpness from the rye,
had this with fever tree spiced orange ginger ale. will try neet or with tonic next time. ginger may have been overpowering or should have added more gin!
I drink this in GT. Tonic was Fever Tree. The combination was really tasty and it was a wonderful apertive.
Juniper in the nose. Lemon peel, anise, rye spiciness on the tongue. Very smooth
The gin is still really great and herbalic. It’s easy to enjoy of this.
