Extra Marriage is a limited-edition release marking the 40th anniversary of Nikka Whisky From the Barrel, the iconic blend originated by Takeshi Taketsuru, nephew and adopted son of Nikka’s founder, Masataka Taketsuru. Like the original expression, it combines more than 100 batches of malt and grain whiskies—predominantly from Nikka’s Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. Here, however, the married whiskies rest for six months in used puncheon casks, twice as long as in the original. Only 6,900 bottles available in select US markets beginning November 2025.
