About this bottle

While the Black Art series had previously been focused on the unpeated Bruichladdich line, this time, the distillery has released a very special Octomore called OBA Concept_0.1 - the casks used for the maturation of the spirit are of course undisclosed as for all Black Art bottlings, leaving consumers with a secret and mysterious spirit to unveil. If you purchased a bottle, you can still ask for more information on Bruichladdich's website thanks to the batch code on your bottle! Limited availability of 3000 bottles. Sold in 500ml.

A love child between bruichladdich black art and classic smoky Islay drams. Nose: Chocolate, Oranges, Iodine, Raspberries, Figs, Prunes, Raisins, Dried Pineapples, Papayas, Sultanas, Hazlenuts, Lavender, Blueberries, White Chocolate Palate: Raisins, Figs, Luxardo Cherries, Dates, Plums, Blackberries, Raspberries, Peach Melba, Almonds Finish: Figs, Salted Caramel, Oranges, Raisins, Blackberry Jam, Plums, Blueberries, Milk Chocolate

From the bottle I have, seems like it's 3 casks from 2007, 4 casks from 2006, 2 casks from 2008, and 1 cask from 2002. Website doesn't say what type of casks though; just 10 casks, 4 vintages, 1 barley type, and 6 cask types. Would've been useful to know what type of casks.
