Aged 9 years in virgin oak, this is a wonderful dram with lots of bourbon like qualities, has loads of spices, nuts, coffee, maple syrup, and chocolate alongside some smoke, fruits, and vanilla. Nose: Vanilla, Oranges, Barbecue Pork Ribs, Smoke, Almonds, Raisins, Hazlenuts, Milk Chocolate, Plums, Luxardo Cherries, Lavender, Marshmallows Palate: Honey, Caramel, Smoke, Vanilla, Milk Chocolate, Mocha, Cinnamon, Walnuts, Hazlenuts, Espresso, Cloves, Maple Syrup, Licorice Finish: Mocha, Dark Chocolate, Toffee, Ginger, Nutmeg, Licorice, Orange Peels, Brown Sugar, Treacle, Bananas, Maple Syrup

Tasting at distillery. Big smoke. Light citrus. Reminds me a bit of Ardbeg 10 with more smoke.
