Got this from a Flaviar tasting pack. I’m usually a Scotch fan and this falls right in my wheelhouse. Very tasty overall. Nose - sweet sherry and dark fruits, brown sugar, some sharper citrus and spice notes Taste - sharp and sweet, slightly oily, a sherry bomb with darker sugar notes, some oak bitterness Finish - dry spices and lingering, medium heat
Fantastic, rich nose with almond, plum, pear, vanilla, and sherry; almond, oak, sherry body that is tasty, but not as good as the nose; pretty dry; fairly thin; smooth; short finish with sherry, oak, and some vanilla; overall a fantastic sherry aged whisky, though quite dry
Nose- creamy caramel, sweet fruits, malty grain cereals, peppery, not getting any smokiness. Taste- sherry, oak, shortbread cookies, hints of floral. Finish- shortish with some sweet fruitiness. Easy but not particularly complex to me.
Second rice whisky that I’ve tried and I’ve enjoyed both. Smooth and sweet, almost hit me as a butterscotch flavor initially. Vanilla and sherry more evident upon further sips with fruit/spice finish. Definitely enjoyable.
A little harsh. Added 1ml water to 50ml sample to smooth it out. Could probably use another. Leather and vanilla. Woody with a bit of lingering sweetness.
