Nose: subtle, have to really give it a whirl to pick it up, but nice caramel apple, banana, & rum notes. Taste: great balance of oak & vanilla on this one, with another fruity flavor maybe a bit of apricot. Midway thru the heat kicks in with some peppery rye flavors. Heat then fades away, leaving almost a mint aftertaste . Proof is pretty nice as a neat sipper on this, easily could go with or with out some ice/water. With an ice cube: tempers down the heat and spice a lot, bigger caramel & pear flavor on the taste. Mellower overall, also really likable. Solid pour!
