Produced at the Heaven Hill distillery, Old Fitzgerald's 1849 pays homage to old style of wheated bourbon. It is said to celebrate the mash bill created by John Fitzgerald. This previously had an age statement of 8 years, but that had been dropped a few years back and now this bottling has been discontinued outright.

Great nose. Familiar Heaven Hill smell, nutty, but richer. Super smooth, peanuts and dark chocolate. Would be a great every day sipper, if only it were actually available. This is a fuller, thicker version of Evan Williams white label. 6/13/17
Tasted in November 2022 at Malt Bar Ester in Nakano, Tokyo The flavor profile on this was awesome. The flavors really jumped off the palate. It was a standout of the night.
Not a memorable pour. Bitter finish. Reminds me of another wheater but can't put my finger on it.
