About this bottle

To mark the occasion of the grand opening of Old Forester Distilling Co. in June 2018, Brown-Forman has decided to re-release a historic bottling. The President's Choice is a single barrel bourbon release selected by current president and fifth generation family member, Campbell Brown, under the guidance of Master Taster Jackie Zykan. The bourbon will typically be aged 8 years (exact age will be written on each bottle) with the proof in the 110-120 range. The President's Choice will be sold at the Whiskey Row distillery in Louisville and in select Kentucky retailers.

CordovZ 4.8

Batch 13- 9 Year Old Nose- caramelized banana, lemons, cherries, dark caramel, vanilla, espresso beans Palate- Spiced oak initially, wave of honey sweetness, lemon oil, baking spices, caramel, espresso Finish- Long, mouth coating finish with notes of baking spices, caramel, and espresso Mmm. Great stuff. You can taste the age right off the bat. Unique flavors of espresso from the nose to the finish. The best way to describe this is dark and thick. I would order this at a bar any day if I saw it, but for the price point, I would rather pay just a bit more for Birthday Bourbon. Regardless, a fantastic pour that you should share with other bourbon lovers.

Taste #100 (thank you, Distller app!) Nose: typical OF banana foster but deeper and more complex, butterscotch and toffee Palate: so balanced, banana nut bread but not as sweet (little toffee transfers) Finish: pleasant, it’s viscous so coats your mouth and it definitely drinks below the proof Overall: My brother and I each scored a bottle when we visited the distillery in Lville after chatting it up with Barb (thanks, for the opportunity to purchase, Barb!). It’s probably my most prized bottle in my modest bourbon collecting career/hobby. Great legs and a much darker color in the glen compared to most of my other bourbons.

ChuckD 4.5

Sweet Carmel on the nose. With a little burn. On the taste it starts off a little hot then quickly mellows with a vanilla or burnt sugar/creme brûlée taste. Finishes with a slight hug and some dark chocolate and dark fruit with more vanilla lingering.

Herr WHIM 4.3

This particular pour is batch 29. The nose is heavy with vanilla, char, and sweet cherry. The palate is everything old forester, char, vanilla, light cherry and banana, with a nice spiciness. The finish is long and warming.

Yep its that good. Dont miss. Such a smooth pour and finish. Yes its pricey but good price in pours at distillery. Classic oak with side kick of sweet oak leather noted buttery smooth with a lil heat

Corey White 4.0

Nose is sweet and complex. Slightly medicinal note to it. Full body, very little burn that lingers just the right amount of time. A little bit of spice on the back end and an oaky finish
