For me the nose on this one was amazing. Palate was nice. finish is short st first then creeps back in amd lingers a while. Overall its tasty and beats EC18 for sure and is a contender with KC18. Its not quite worth the $200 srp but at $150 its perfectly fine and meets or exceeds quality of the 18 year bottles (listed above) in the same price range. Whiskeytube was a little too tough on this one. I think this bottle might have been too run of the mill for them since some of the online reviewers rated things higher that are simply different and not necessarily better in my opinion. All similar high age/quality beam productions have very similar notes to me. Its a game of โwhich one is priced the best for the same profile?โ. Ogd16, kc18, little book ch7, and bakers 13 all fall in this category for me putting bakers at the top of the list for value and the other 3 tied for second.

Nose: orange creamsicle, oak, sweet cherry and vanilla Taste: sweet orange creamsicle, followed by poppings of black pepper and cherry, and sweet build up of rye spice Finish: the sweet orange and vanilla float around, and black pepper kisses the side of your tongue. The oak is a sweet blanket that wraps everything up nicely
Nose: Cherry, wood, maple, pear, and light cream. Taste: More chery, nutmeg, creamy chocolate, oak. Its not the most complex but whats there is great with a lingering and delicious finish. I wish there was a bit more to the nose and initial pallet but the finish is really where it is at with this special release.
Has some nice chocolate, spicy, molasses, and nutty notes but has a bit of a turpentine note that is a bit off-putting. Nose: Caramel, Molasses, Cracker Jacks, Turpentine, Morello Cherries, Chocolate Oranges, Honey, Canteloupes Palate/Finish: Caramel, Mounds Bars, Maple Syrup, Bananas, Molasses, Peanuts, Walnuts
๐Nose: sweet leather | caramel | funk Mouthfeel: full Complexity: medium Finish: long ๐ Taste: smooth, somewhat simple, with a great long finish. 85/100
Nose: peanut brittle meets soft mint. Some vanilla Palate: raisin, tobacco, vanilla, medium bodied, oaky finish, but overall nothing stands out.
