Orange County Aged Rye

Smokier than most ryes - not unlike a bourbon, making me wonder whether this was somehow blended - with a lot of biscuit flavors before clove and licorice take over. Complex mix of unusual, but complementary, rye notes.

Drinking in on the rock. Very clean and smooth for a rye whiskey. Smoky, some citrus on the nose. On palate it is mostly oaky. It is very enjoyable and durable for drinking as a daily whiskey dose.

Picked this up at the union square green market in Dec 2018 - very good
