You just can’t go wrong with these Heritage Collection releases. An engaging nose of heavy oak, bright rye and mellow sweet corn start things off. The flavor explodes in the mouth with a bookend of bright high notes of corn, soft barley and more rye spice than expected. The dark brooding low notes consist of oak stave and fresh char, creating a panorama of old leather, dried tobacco leaf and brown bread. The finish is extraordinarily long with a flutter of mint, and baked apple peeking in now and again. Overall, a very self assured and well aged gentleman of a bourbon.
Parker's Heritage Double Barreled Blend
About this bottle
This 16th limited edition collection from Heaven Hill consists of two Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys made with HH's traditional mash bill (78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley). One, which represents 67% of the blend, was aged for 13 years before then being re-barreled into new, charred American oak barrels with a level 3 char. It finished its maturation there for four weeks. That lot was then blended with a 15 year-old bourbon which makes up the remaining 33% of the bottling. It's bottled without chill-filtration at barrel proof (132.2). Heaven Hill will donate a portion of the proceeds to support ALS research and patient care In honor of the late Master Distiller Parker Beam. Available nationally and internationally in limited quantities as of early December 2022. (SRP $174.99)

Nose is a little closed off, but it’s sweet. Palate is wonderful. French toast covered in butter and maple syrup. Oak and toffee. Complex pour for sure! Finish is nice and decently long. Top 5 pour for me personally. Very interesting feel to it and a deep complexity. Next time I need to have a pen and paper to list everything down that I smell or taste. Lives up to the hype!
Massive whiskey. The nose is a little muted and what you'd expect from a double barrel whiskey. The palate is where this shines. Leather, oak, coffee, chocolate vanilla. White cake and HEAT! Nice tingly finish. Im personally moving away from these gigantic proof monsters, but I can still enjoy this from time to time. No doubt this is a really good whiskey.
Nose: blackberry, sweet black cherry, pencil shaving, caramel Body: medium full Palate: very delicious first sip. Cinnamon, caramel, red licorice. Finish: long, smoky Note: ounce from don. Highly anticipated. This is a really delicious dram. Full bodied and Smokey sweet.
I absolutely loved this bottle. The nose holy shit. It's unlike any bourbon I've ever smelled. The palate is almost perfection. Perfect oak. Sweet upfront but just a tad dry on the finish but not in a bad way Just an exception bourbon.
