Red snake

Cask #48. 58% abv. Ex-bourbon. Mouthfeel is great, oily, fruity nose, caramel apple. Hot, hot, hot. If I had to guess the distillery, I'd go with Mortlach. Waxy, apple, cinnamon. Finish is a bit grainy and dominated by ethanol so probably on the younger side, but there's definitely a lot of barrel influence. This would be outstanding if it weren't so hot.

Cask #49. I think the ABV was 62.2%. Less of a hot mess than 48 was, some floral notes than make me think Clynelish or something. Thick, caramel mouthfeel. Some heat on the finish
