Nose: chocolate hazelnut, candied orange peel, creamy vanilla, toasted almonds, dried fig. A touch of blackberry jam, a bit of cinnamon. Palate: nutty, sweet, a nice well rounded and full bodied mouthfeel. Stewed orchard fruits, sweet sherry, baking spices and a prominent robust oak. There's a nice dark fruit note here as well. Caramelized vanilla cream. A nice bright but subtle orange zest note. A bit of ginger as it transitions to finish. Finish: spicy, oaky and medium long
About this bottle
Crafted by Master Blender David McCabe and Master Blender Emeritus Billy Leighton, this bottling features a triple-distilled single pot still whiskey which has been aged for 18 years in a combination of ex-bourbon, oloroso sherry, and cream sherry casks with a small portion aged in ruby port barrels. In addition to being the first 18 year-old expression from Redbreast, it is also the first bottling to incorporate cream sherry casks in its production. Available globally beginning September 2024, Redbreast 18 Year is a permanent addition to the brand's portfolio. (SRP $249.99)

Nose: orange peel, chocolate, fig, date, toasted almonds, blackcurrant. Has a subtle malt note and a nice little bit of dark oak. Barley is noticably less prominent than the 12 Palate: smooth, strong oak character, classic single pot still barley character but it is once again less present than the 12. Dark chocolate covered cherry, hints of ginger. Sherry cask Finish: long, oak spice, a little oak
Whiskyfest pour. Really good with notes of Raisins, Gingerbread, Toffee, Christmas Cakes, Almonds, Guava, Luxardo Cherries, Blueberries, Milk Chocolate, and Grapefruit. Would be one of my all time favorites if it was at cask strength.
Nose: red fruits and chocolate Mouth: spices and orange Finish: spices and fruits Nez: fruits rouges et chocolat Bouche : spices avec une pointe de zeste d’orange Longueur : epices et fruits
