About this bottle
Crafted by Master Blender Dave McCabe, Redbreast Moscatel Wine Cask Edition is the fifth release in the brand’s Iberian Series. Like all Redbreast whiskeys, it is initially matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The Iberian Series is distinguished by the use of specially selected sherry-seasoned casks for finishing. For this edition, European oak hogsheads seasoned with Moscatel wine from Bodegas Quitapenas in Málaga were shipped to Midleton, where the single pot still whiskey was finished in them for 16 months.
