Tannins hit, with vanilla and caramel following up, heavier oak, dashes of maple and some anise kinda notes that mingle with the barrel char. the finish is a but robust but finishes incredible shortly. Good bourbon but not sure if id grab it for the price.
About this bottle
Gatsby Reserve is a limited edition straight bourbon from Indiana-based Ross & Squibb Distillery celebrating F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel The Great Gatsby. Featuring some of the oldest bourbon reserves, this second edition release was aged for 15 years like its predecessor. Here, two mash bill recipes were used by Master Distiller Ian Stirsman and his team — 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley and 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley. Bottled at a cask strength of 98.1 proof, this is available beginning October 2023 (SRP $199.99)

Pretty sharp tannins up front. It sweetens up a bit in the middle and is fairly rich with some maple and oak. Fairly short finish. Would say for the money I wouldnt get it again.
Great flavor on this for the proof. Short finish. Did like this a lot but for the money probably wont purchase again
Smooth, very sweet, minimal heat or burn.
