I could smell this all day. Sea breeze, seaweed, brine, and a bit of sweet (biscuits). Taste is sharp, peppery, smoky, and salty. Very enjoyable whisky, even at the 56%, and is perhaps the most mezcal like scotch I've tried.

About this bottle
This is the second cask strength release for Douglas Laing's Rock Oyster Blended Malt brand. Released to coincide with National Oyster Day on August 5th, 2018 this is aged exclusively in American oak. Single malt whiskies from the isles of Islay, Arran, Jura, and Orkney are included. It is bottled at 56.1% ABV without additional color or chill-filtration as is the case for all Douglas Laing whiskies. Only 8400 bottles produced.
