Rosaluna Joven Mezcal

Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca is the origin of Rosaluna, a mezcal made by a family with six generations of experience. This spirit holds USDA organic and carbon neutral certifications. It is exclusively crafted from over-ripened capon agaves, cultivated on the property for as long as eight years prior to being picked. The agave hearts undergo roasting for as much as five days over an oak wood fire in an underground stone-lined pit. Afterward, they are processed with a mechanical tahona, fermented in pine wood vats for up to eight days, and subjected to a double distillation in copper pot stills. The bottling strength is 80 proof.
