This bottling in the Russian Standard Vodka portfolio is distilled from 100% Russian winter wheat as are the rest of their vodkas. But this vodka is flavored with Siberian golden root, or ginseng. Bottled at 40% ABV.

My favorite of the three so far, but Standard is a close second. Somehow the taste is cleaner and more crisp without leaning on the wheat characters too heavily. The addition of the golden root brings a spicy earthiness to the palate, reminiscent of ginger, white pepper and musty wood, but a wisp of sweetness balances it out nicely. This is absolutely delicious neat, cold especially.
A welcome addition to the RS range. Served cold has a fresher character with a pleasant little bite from the ginseng. Forget your designer brands, this is a good vodka at sensible money.
You can’t go wrong with Russian vodka. This one is crisp, clean, smooth and light with a bit of spearmint. My number two vodka behind Stolichnaya.
Terrific vodka at any money. For the price it's insane. If only their nation was nicer to their neighbours.
