Smooth, but still has the peppery kick of a good rye whiskey. Earthy aroma, strong taste of oak. Overall a good Oklahoma Whiskey!
This is a rye whiskey that is initially matured in new, charred American oak barrels then finished in ex-bourbon barrels, for a total minimum 3 years of maturation. It is bottled at 89 proof.

A lot of the heavy cedary flavor also found in the bourbon. Didn't enjoy this one.
