About this bottle

Sazerac Rye Full Proof joins the brand’s portfolio as a permanent expression, alongside the flagship 90-proof and the 100-proof release introduced earlier in 2025. Produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery, this Kentucky-style rye is bottled without chill filtration at 125 proof (62.5% ABV) — the same strength as its barrel entry proof. Availability begins in select markets in November 2025 (SRP $39.99).

Grand slam home run Been looking so forward to cracking this bottle of 125 proof NCF Saz Everything is subjective so if you like Sazerac Rye to begin with and you've enjoyed the 90 proof after it has under went chill filtration, as well as the 100 proof, there is a very good chance that you're going to enjoy this extra punch. Nose: Sweetness, spice, caramel, overall extremely pleasant no hint of the proof. Pallet: The mouthfeel is thick and extremely satisfying. More caramel and chocolate some fruit continuing that sweetness from the nose. Finish long, warm, once again that sweetness carries through. I have to give this a solid 4.25/5 and will revisit it as I would really like to rate it higher and I'm tempted to do so if I factored in the price this is a steal and could be any high proof lovers daily drinker but yet gives you a experience one can normally only get from a much higher price bottle I believe the 750 ml cost me roughly 31.00. I am amazed based on age and proof this pour is not hotter, as I was expecting some heat all the way through. Saz 125 has by far exceeded my expectations as was hoping it would be a 3.75/5, or better which I rate the 90 proof, 4.0/ 5 I rate the 100 proof. A 0.25 bump is not really enough to differentiate by score, however I can say none of the saz's come close CHEERS!!!!!

Nose: Vanilla bean, stewed apples, rye bread Palate: Vanilla and citrus Finish: Medium finish, with pepper, baking spices, and a little mint This is a strong contender for one of my favorite rye pours. I am a fan of the six-year old 90 proof base release but the Full Proof version literally turns the volume up to 11. This expression is complex, bold, and has a great oily mouthfeel compared to the original. As of this review I haven't had a chance to try the 100 proof release, however I'll say that this maybe one of the best value ryes out there.
