Another young TW house single malt. Nose is blast of new make malt, little bit pink eraser and some garden herbs with mild oak. You can infer some fruit but its gentle for a Speyside. Palate is undercooked pasta, pinch of dried fruit, more baby new make and green barrel. Its easy drinking but thin and tastes incomplete/ not quite ready. Finishes dry barrel with wispy malt and distant fruit. This is just a budget SM not meant to be dissected more a mixer or palate setter. TW states this is top selling SM and for the price it does serve a purpose. Has no bitter grain twang and can be drank neat for cash strapped scotch lovers. If you are more seasoned there is no need to check this out. The only Shieldaig worth your time is the Islay......75/100.........nothing special but bump for value

Tasted a 2020 bottling of this NAS malt from an undisclosed Speyside distillery. Nose: Overused ex-bourbon cask, young malt, a bit of fruit and vanilla. Very weak nose. Taste: An exact copy of the nose. Leeched casks. This is a very mediocre palate, even for Speyside. Finish: Short and bitter. Shame. Final thoughts: this whisky looks much better than it actually performs. If you're looking for a budget gift for someone who can't tell a Caol Ila from a Red Label, then you might consider Shieldaig Speyside. I would actually pick up a McClelland's Speyside instead, though, as it's simply better than this mouthwash.
Very average and bland Speyside single malt. Not much going on here besides caramel, oak and a bit of fruits. Nose is weak and uninviting. Palette is slightly better, but poorly balanced. Tastes better with a splash of water. Finish is short and leaves much to be desired. This is definitely worse than McClelland's Speyside.
A rich, Single Malt from Speyside, Scotland made from malted barley. It has a rich birth with notes of fruit & grain; while a balanced life adds notes of caramelized banana, barley & hints of oak; that led to a delicate death with a hint of peat smoke. July 2019 / September 2022
👀: light copper. Lasting legs that would be there all night. 👃: not a whole lot going on. Vanilla and oak. A little artificially sweetness. 👅: pretty similar to the nose tbh. No burn, easy drinking. A tad bitter. Overall: so meh. Pass.
Tin, pineapple, and agave on the nose. Taste is lots honey drizzled oats. Some woody notes, but no smoke at all. Not bad, very drinkable. Finish leaves much to be desired. Single malt, yes, but it's young.
