This rye had a copper hue and glass walls of thin semi-watery legs. The nose started out a little weird and fruity. Notes I got were funky sap, dusty old book, caramel, plum, apple, cherry candy, eucalyptus, alcohol, and barn straw. The palate was watery and sweet, with brown sugar, Cutie orange, cherry candy, dill, and lemon zest. The finish was medium length and tangy with orange. Cheers!
Emergency Old Fashioned after saying goodbye to a 13y/o friend (pet). A toast to my little friend. Was given this bottle for my 50th BDay. Was not initially impressed, but as I sip into it more it settles in and gets comfy, regardless of what I want. Just like my little friend. Well worth a try. Makes an excellent Old Fashioned.
Nose is plums, caramel and rye. Taste is a bit watery kind of reminds me of a watered down Willet rye with cherries, dried fruit and lemongrass. Cherry flavor sticks around on the palate for a medium length.
Whisky me pouch. Bourbon like aroma. Taste is smooth up front, quickly turning 🔥 with spicy rye and alcohol burn. Sweet cherry, oak and caramel flavours. A little rough around the edges but I quite like it.
Deep malty aroma. Smells like you were sniffing a field of wheat. Taste is the same, like chewing on cereal grains, a rye kick, quite a rich body. Enjoyable, but the field flavor is a bit overpowering.
