My favorite rye. Neutral sweet opener, deep vanilla body, with a long tannic finish, thats also pretty alcoholic and burny, but contrasts nicely with the sweet vanilla flavors. I think the roughness of it may put some people off, but the flavors underneath it are better than most whiskeys ive tasted.

Sonoma Distilling Company Sonoma Rye is the brand's flagship rye whiskey. It is made from a mash bill of 80% rye from California and Canada and 20% malted rye from the UK. It is aged a minimum of 15 months in new, char #3 American oak barrels ranging in size from 15, 30, and 53-gallons. Bottled at 93 proof.

A twangy start, some menthol on the front turning into cinnamon, oak, prune, herbality that goes later to a long spicy finish. Nothing to bark at personally.
Terrible. Burns from start to finish, and tastes like chemicals.
Slightly oaky & peach. Big caramel aftertaste. Quite nice.
