Rating is subjective without a comparison, but this is the "name brand" and even just 1/4 oz of this is a flat knockout in a tiki cocktail. So much delicious flavor. Neat, a tiny nip fills the mouth and quickly dwarfs the sweet introduction, drying the tongue and cheeks with astringency and baking spice, even adventuring timidly into the nasal reaches. Allspice (duh) that invites thoughts of clove and molasses - approaching, but not quite, black strap. Perhaps this won't be for some folks, but, um, sign me up. Not terribly pricey and a 750ml will last forever. Equally at home most everywhere its buddy Angostura might show up.

Not something I would drink neat (has the strange quality of being both syrupy and astringent) but a little goes a long way and adds a lot of spicy flavor to a cocktail. Traditionally used with Tiki rum-based drinks, but my wife and I like it with whisky. We were first introduced to it by a local bar in Charlottesville called The Alley Light that makes a drink called the Fancy Leather Couch: Scotch Whiskey, Allspice Dram, and Earl Gray Tea. Delicious!

A rich herbal cordial from Jamaica crafted with fine pot-still rum & allspice berries. It has an herbal birth with notes of rum & spices; while a spicy life adds notes of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg & pepper; that led to a bold death of medium length. November 2016 / May 2018

Exactly what you'd expect from the name, allspice(cinnamon, nutmeg, clove). Sweet at first but the allspice or pimento berry leaves you with a bit of a drier spice at the finish. Great in tiki style drinks or even a substitute for bitters and sugar in Old Fashioneds.

Absolutely spice cabinet heaven, a must for a Lion's Tail. But $30/375 ml? After 2 bottles of St. Elizabeth's, I learned that allspice dram is an easy DIY.

used in many tiki cocktails, my favorite of the allspice or pimento liquor
