The Distillers Edition is an annual limited edition series from Diageo featuring select single malt Scotch whisky distilleries in their portfolio. Each release is double matured (finished) in a selected cask. For Talisker, casks which held Amoroso sherry -- a rare type of sherry which blends oloroso with PX sherry -- are used. Distilled in 1991, this release was bottled in 2004 at 91.6 proof.

I had the pleasure of sharing the final drinks of this bottle with the amazing woman who received it as a gift. This was a very soft scotch for lovers of a more earthy and smooth drink of scotch. I never felt overwhelmed with flavor or aroma and enjoyed every sip. Bravo Talisker
Sweet brown sugar in nose and in color. Thin mouth feel, but smooth on the tongue thanks to age and experience. Not as peaty as I prefer, but easily drinkable. Clinkies!
