Talisker 7 Year Old 2009 (cask 11521) Provenance (Douglas Laing) Whisky

An intense, Island Scotch Whisky by Talisker, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for their Provenance selection. This one was distilled on the Isle of Skye in November 2009 & set aside to age in a refill hoggie for 7 years before being bottled in November 2016. 421 bottles were produced. It has an aromatic birth with notes of barley sweets & salty licorice; while a fresh coastal & spicy life adds notes of tangy peat & a hint of fruit; that led to a long & balanced death with notes of toasted oak staves & earthy vanilla pod. November 2017 / August 2022
