Full of character. Peated and smoky, yes, but not an Islay single malt, and that’s a compliment. What’s accomplished here is true inspiration, not imitation. Bear in mind it’s an young whisky and I’m not taking into consideration the tag price, since it’s produced under Finnish legislation. Something to be considered if one (i) appreciates young Islay malts, (ii) thrives for something new, unexpected and bold in that front and (iii) can afford it.

Smoke dominated the nose at first, but it got smoother after a while. Taste was not that smokey, but there was a clear smoke present. Taste also had a fruity side but couldn’t figure out what it was. Very light in color. Smooth and round taste. Pleasant drink. Note: this is one of my first whiskeys, so rating might be off since I don’t have anything to compare it to.
The whole street must be burning, there’s that much smoke in the air after opening this! Hard to find other notes, except that it is very smooth and easy to drink.
Very smoky aroma and taste. Nice light color and pleasant after taste. My very first whisky from where I really tried to taste and smell the small details.
Scent a little chemical with a hint of vanilla. Smoky, surprisingly smooth body for it's age. Smoke dominated aftertaste.
