Made in collaboration with Tequila Corralejo, Templeton Rye Tequila Cask Finish is the fifth release in the brand's limited edition Barrel Finish Series. To make, the brand began with American straight rye (95% rye, 5% malted barley) which had aged for a minimum of six years in American oak. Then the rye was placed into former Tequila Corralejo 99,000 Horas Extra Añejo Tequila for 3-6 months to finish its maturation. Only 4,200 casks produced globally with availability beginning September 2023. (SRP $49.99)

Carmel nose gives way to soft sweetness and light pepper. Flavorful and complex. The first sip hits a little hot and very spicy but you have to sip again. The second and third sips are much easier and lean toward more sweetness. Unusual but in a good way.
