The Cabinet is a blend of straight rye and bourbon whiskeys from Proof & Wood Ventures. Each whiskey in the blend was distilled in Indiana and then aged, blended, and bottled in Kentucky. Included in the blend are straight rye whiskeys distilled in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 each with a mash bill recipe of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Also included are two straight bourbon whiskeys distilled in 2016 and 2017. Those mash bill recipes were 99% corn, 1% malted barley for the former and 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley for the latter. It's bottled at barrel proof. While the first 2022 edition of The Cabinet was limited to Washington D.C., this 2023 release has a nationwide release for its 600 six-bottle cases beginning November 2023. (SRP $124.99)
