GlenAllachie 10 Year Cask Strength Batch 1

Blind tasting Nose: sherry, bourbon, cherries Taste: Very sweet, maybe a little too sweet. Maraschino, maple syrup. higher abv. Maybe a little smokiness at the end. Wisps of dusty cereal grain. Wood: sherry and bourbon. Bit torn on this one. It is enjoyable but I think it’d be a once in a while type of thing. The sweetness is nice but verging on too much. Reminds me of one I had a while ago aged in maple syrup barrels. I want to say there might be some corn in this as I’m getting stronger bourbon elements Distillery? Aberlour

This is a great expression. PX comes out in the taste along with the oak. Fresh sweet fruit on the nose , vanilla on the nose and taste. Full body smooth with some bite in the middle then rounds and lingers in the end. Going to enjoy this bottle. I would definitely replace this when finished great value.

Nose: Floral, heather in the wind amidst barley and orange trees Palette: Honey, lemongrass, vanilla and cinnamon Finish: Long and enjoyable. Oak Tannins and rose petals

Possibly one of the smoothest CS whiskies I had. Hint of menthol/mint on the finish. Dark chocolate. Nuts. Touch of cinnamon

Nose: subdued caramel, marzipan, Christmas cake Very, very rich flavor, caramel, mouth coating Strong and long finish

Thick, honey/toffee, hint of spice and Vegemite type sourness to the sweetness. Very smooth for the cask strength.
