On a recent business trip I found this really nice Scottich Gin. This gin is a very gentile and soft gin with the juniper notes being soft and the other flavors to raise to the front. The nose is a mix of juniper and ethanol but those give way to citrus and coriander. The body is not bad with a little burn but the earthy herbs come out here and with a little ice the gin is softened nicely. The finish is quick with citrus and earthy notes. On the trip I made several Gin and Tonics which were very nice, but the gin had a tendency to be washed out. I also made several Negroni's with this gin and it did well with the flavors. My only complaint is that the gin is a little under proofed other than that it is a solid and flavorful gin. Overall, it is a good but not great gin but it is worth a try. Enjoy.

Very aggressive rubbing alcohol on the nose with little gin botanicals pushing thru; grassy, medicinal, earthy green growing things, with a delicate scoche of juniper. It took me a bit to think on those medicinal grassy bitter floral hints to piece together heather. This adds an astringency I'm not altogether happy with, but I don't disapprove of the expression. Definitely a clean cocktail application for me like a cold martini or simple g&t.
