The Single Malts of Scotland Ben Nevis 9

On the nose I get honey, apple blossom, syrup, and a little ethanol. Super floral, with a nice oily mouthfeel, a little caramel, and a slightly herbal finish (maybe some black tea) with some toffee and ethanol burn. A little bit of water opens it up nicely. I was pretty impressed with this considering the age statement, it does a good job showcasing the distillate. Probably one of the better malts I've had with a sub-10 age statement.

Buttercream, ashy herbs, and pears nose. Bitter biscuits, ashes, green pepper, charlestown chewy candybar. Gritty, punchy. Dry oak finish.
