싱글톤 17년 더프타운 2020 스페셜 릴리즈 55.1% Refill American Oak Hogsheads 향 : 깨끗함, 싱크대를 반질반질하게 닦아놓거나 행주를 깨끗하게 빨고 그릇을 뽀득뽀득하게 씻은 향, 그 속에서 존재감을 드러내는 벌꿀향이 있습니다. 확실히 아메리칸 오크의 특징이 잘 드러나있고, 마시면 한가득 꿀과 꽃향으로 범벅될것 같은 기대감이 듭니다. 맛 : 향에서 기대했던 맛과는 다르게 처음에는 꿀맛이 적습니다. 오히려 은은한 꽃밭에 들어온 것처럼 가벼운 플로랄함이 먼저 느껴집니다. 그러다가 약간의 밀납이 느껴지고, 이후 희미하게 꿀, 향수, 향수의 알코올이 느껴집니다. 목넘김에서 그래도 새콤달콤한 플로랄과 약간의 레드프루트가 잽! 은 치고 가줍니다. 피니쉬 : 빵, 아메리칸오크가 짧게 여운을 주고 사라집니다. 한줄평 : 모든게 다 애매했다. 가격, 도수, 숙성년도... 이런 기준에서 동급들과 비교한다면 아무래도 선택받기는 쉽지 않겠다.

Yesterday I wrote that my taste seems to be turning to fruity whiskies, but this entry in Diageo’s 2020 special release series seems designed to remind me of my limits. Specifically, a pungent nose of pear drops. There’s some grapefruit in the mix also, but mostly the aroma tests your tolerance for pear-flavored candy. Things don’t improve on tasting — sour fruits and more grapefruit and a sour finish. In a world awash in good whisky, there’s no need to waste your time on this one.

Nose: 4.5/5 fruity, indian , sour cream, peach fruit tea Palate: 3.25/5 coating, umami, sugar like sweet. Overall quite disappointing comparing how good the nose was. Finish: 3.5/5 long Adding water didn’t give more complexity

Nice and smooth initially, had a couple San migeuls first. Medicinal. Slightly harsher aftertaste. Honey-y slight apricot
