Nose: Nuts/almonds, sawdust, sweet caramel Palate: Creamy mouthfeel, sweet, oaky, nutty, vanilla, mild ginger, buttery Finish: Short finish. Wisp of smoke, oak, wood, green/menthol, light baking spices. Smoky aftertaste Woody (surprise!), creamy and buttery on the palate and very sweet. There are hints of spice, smoke and menthol, but only really on the finish. Not a bad affordable dram.

Vanilla and stewed pears on the nose. Some cinnamon and a hint of smokey vanilla on the palate. The finish is short and a bit peppery. Overall… I just found that it was all a bit thin and it didn’t live up to the “no burn” statement on the bottle (surprise surprise). While this is a value whiskey, for the same money I’m happier with Black Bottle or Monkey Shoulder.
I really enjoyed this whiskey, felt quite smooth to me. Not very peaty and fairly easy to drink with a single ice cube
Quickly had it neat, a very nice spiced tipple. Had as a salted maple old fashioned as recommended. Lovely drink!
Easy drinking whiskey if you want to have a few but not completely destroy your top shelf fancy stuff.
Great classic woody flavor. Not too much of a burn. Hint of smoke.
