Sherry dominates the nose - boozy Christmas cake. On the palate there’s the warmth of orange marmalade and wintry spices - cloves, cinnamon, mace and then some chilli. The finish is sweet and fruity, with the return of that Christmas cake and hazelnuts. Water opens the nose to more dried fruit and the palate becomes a softer, more delicate teacake with butter before a long, raspberry jam finish.
