Smokey with a bit of burnt tire and a hint of salty ocean. Other flavor notes are pepper, toffee and a bit of berry. For the most part this is a fine peated Scotch, but it is a bit on the harsh side and would do well with a bit more aging. Still a very tasty dream. Running at around $90 a bottle currently, it isn't a particularly good value

97 points. A remarkable showcase of the distillery to reach a 10 year old scotch. It has a slight ammonia on the nose, which is likely its only imperfection. The taste is perfect, medium peat, beautiful balance.
