Nose: crisp, light, peppery, salty with hint of vanilla Body: medium Palate: more full than the blended oak, sweet (bourbon notes), honey and rose petal Finish: medium Note: I like this more than the blended oak has more body but still light. Also reminds me of sake, maybe rice. I think is a corn distillate but this must have rice in it with a sake undertone.
Long lasting warm taste with depth, immediate tasting note is from the malt. The whiskey has a nice sweetness to it. The sweetness presents its self as a fruity sweetness. Taste of the whiskey is well rounded off because of the bourbon barrel finish, which brings nuance to it. I was very pleasantly surprised.
It's an interesting whisky. I can definitely get the typical bourbon smells from it along with a citrusy smell and taste. The finish has a bit of an orange peel. It's not absolutely amazing but, I would still recommend this to someone who enjoys both bourbons as well as Japanese whiskies.
Nose: Sweet and friendly slight Vanilla Taste: Honey and vanilla with a cinnamon hint Finish: medium lasting with a stronger emphasis and spice Overall A fantastic smooth and affordable blend
Not much of an aroma. The caramel flavor hits strong but doesn't linger. Adding ice makes it better, but it's not my first choice.
