Nose: honey, pear, Golden delicious apple, light vanilla and oily orange citrus, an almost minty like clove perhaps?, the light brown sugar and cherry essence of the bourbon cask comes through nicely on the backside with a gentle nosing and after it sits for a moment, carries a wispy light perfumy floral note (carnations, rose, etc,) on the end of those bourbon qualities, not an overly complicated nose but pleasant enough. Taste: sweet honey and crisp orchard fruits, bourbon makes it’s presence known but in a complimentary way and not dominating, barrel spices, nice light ashy finish, medium in length. Not bad considering this is a budget friendly contribution from Trader Joe’s.

Color: Light copper. Nose: Funky. Palate: Funky, musty, astringent flavor. Maaaaybe some slight "apple"(?). Can't put my finger on a precise predominant flavor. I'm guessing it's "peat" — though the description here indicates that it's unpeated. This bottle only serves to underscore why I am not the biggest fan of Scotch, and drink Bourbon primarily. This was a gift from a neighbor at around Christmas time. It was a very sweet gesture, though I had my doubts about it. Still, I wanted to give it a chance. That's all I got. Will probably pour this down the drain.

Poured neat. Nose is a delicate and earthy blend of honey, prairie grass, and pine wood. Flavor carries on a lot of those soft and sweet flavors. I get more honey, lightly toasted sugar, a hint of red apple and the obvious peat you would expect. Nearly no heat with a standard peppered wood and leather finish. Not a bad pour, but certainly not a game changer either. Great pickup for a newbie just dipping their toe into scotch. Metaphorically of course.

Apple and a bit of cereal on the nose. Taste reveals lots of apple with a bit of sweetness in the tip of the tongue. Smooth finish with hints of oak, toffee and more apple. Overall this play well above its ~$20 USD price point

What hints at wild turkey 101 plus sweet orchard fruit, cereals and malt on the nose, the same notes on the creamy palate and the short finish, although the finish does have a brief bitter note.

Strong dark chocolate and nougat aroma like a (DC) three musketeers. Signature Scotch bite and mild peat but lighter finish from the bourbon barrel finishing. Not bad for the price at all!
