Waterproof

NAS blended malt from MacDuff. They don't name any of the sourced distilleries. They say a healthy amount of this whiskey comes from sherry casks. It's coloured and chill filtered. On the nose it's a weak and vague mix of classic Speyside and sherry. Palate is high abv, low taste. Barely any fruit or sherry notes come through. Very bland overall. This has the profile of a cheap blend more than a blended malt. Finish is short and empty, besides the hit from the high abv. Adding water doesn't help. This is one of the worst blended malts I have tasted. Only good for mixing.

Easy and accessible. Mild pleasant taste, but lacks distignation.
